Seeing Lion King 2 From A Christian Perspective

By: A.D.

Lion King 2 is not a Christian movie, but interestingly you can use parts of the movie as examples of Christian truths.

Let me explain:

  • Since Kovu was an Outlander, Simba wouldn't accept him. Sometimes, we may act this way towards non-Christians.
We need to be kind and loving to everyone, even our enemies.

  • Kiara tried to save Zira from falling to her death, but Zira refused help and fell. Often God offers to help people but they refuse
to be saved and end up at their destruction.

I always kinda saw the pridelanders and outlanders as Hell and Heaven. Kovu decided to leave the Devil and join God.

Hey, that's pretty good! Stories can be much more metaphoric than the writers mean it to be. Wink

I've gotta watch the movie again...
